12 Most Expensive CS:GO Skins: RANKED (2022)

Are you wondering how much CS:GO skins are worth? Well, they can sell for a lot of money. Here are the 12 most expensive CS:GO skins

It’s crazy to think that skins within a game can sell for thousands of dollars. Who would’ve thought that a 2014 skin would be worth more than a car in 2022? There are people out there who actually spend thousands of dollars just for a single skin in CS:GO.

CS:GO is one of the world’s oldest and best tactical shooter games. The entire Counter-Strike franchise has been around since the early 2000s, and the developers have continued to improve the game ever since.

It’s no surprise that CS:GO has a huge fan base. It’s one of the earliest FPS esports games that people supported and liked playing. Today, it’s a behemoth in the gaming and esports industry together with games like League of Legends and Dota 2. The past PGL Major CS:GO tournament broke all-time records for the game, getting over 2.74M peak viewers.

CS:GO skins have their own economy. The value and worth change depending on the current market supply and demand, among other factors. Join us as we take a look at 12 of the most expensive CS:GO skins.

Most Expensive CS:GO Skins 2022

There are a lot of different things that can affect the value of a CS:GO skin. Obviously, one factor is the skin itself and its rarity. Skins also have conditions from Factory New down to Battle-Scared, which greatly affects its value as well. Finally, we have add-ons like stickers that can greatly increase the value of the skin, depending on the rarity of the stickers and their relevance to the skin.

Usually, Factory New (FN) skins sell the most since they are very rare to get and are in perfect condition. There are a lot of skin collectors all-over the world. Some are professional players, content creators, while some just enjoy playing and collecting CS:GO skins.

Creating a 100% accurate list will be tough since prices fluctuate often, and some expensive CS:GO skins can only be found within private inventories. But, we’ll definitely do our best and try to find the most expensive CS:GO skins to date.

To make things a bit easier, we’ll only be including the base CS:GO skins without any stickers that can increase/decrease their value. Some skins on this list will also only include offers and appraisals since some aren’t even available in the market.

Now that we’ve established some ground rules, here’s the full list of the most expensive CS:GO skins

1

Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem

Karambit Case Hardened

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$1.4 million

Yes, you’ve read that right. A Karambit Case Hardened, Factory New can be worth over $100,000. Each Case Hardened Karambit has a unique pattern that adds to its value. Common patterns that have a Factory New condition can sell for around $3000-$4000 and even higher for StatTrak™ versions.

This extremely rare knife is one of a kind, with a wear rating of 0.0480 and pattern template 387. This specific knife is called the “Blue Gem” because it literally appears completely blue on one side.

The “Blue Gem” Karambit was purchased a few years ago for nearly $100,000. Since then, the value has exploded. Newb Rage, the owner of the knife, reportedly received an offer for well over $1.4M but turned it down. Imagine being offered $1.4M for an in-game skin.

At this point, it’s unclear if the owner has an asking price in mind, or if he actually plans to sell it. Still, $1.4M for a CS:GO skin is by far the most has anyone offered. If the sale ever comes through in the future, it will become the most expensive CS:GO skin to be purchased.

2

Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore

AWP Dragon Lore one of the most expensive csgo skins

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$231,000

The AWP or Magnum Sniper Rifle is one of the most popular guns in CS:GO. This is why the skins on this thing go for insane prices as well. The AWP is an iconic weapon that provided us with tons of amazing and impossible plays. It’s fitting that an AWP skin will be one of the most valuable skins within the game.

The Dragon Lore AWP skin features a red fire-breathing dragon with a beige-ish finish giving it that ancient look. A Souvenir Dragon Lore, Factory New without any stickers, is currently listed at $231,000. With the right stickers, this AWP skin can easily be worth around $100,000 or even more.

The Souvenir Dragon Lore skin is part of the Cobblestone Collection that was introduced back in 2014. A Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore skin can only be dropped during the Major tournament and was calculated to have around a 0.0004% drop rate.

The Souvenir Dragon Lore is one of the rarest skins in the game, which is why it has such as high value.

3

AK-47 Case Hardened (661 Pattern)

AK-47 Case Hardened 3rd most expensive csgo skin

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$150,000

Next up, we have another Case Hardened skin on our list. We already know the value that a specific Case Hardened pattern can get you. The AK-47 Case Hardened pattern that you have to look out for is the #661 pattern, also known as the “scar pattern.”

This specific pattern has the top part of the gun appear fully clear and bright blue in color. It also features a golden “scar” close to the rear sight, hence the name the “scar pattern.” It’s the best pattern you can get on an AK-47 Case Hardened skin. The AK-47 Case Hardened is part of the Arms Deal Collection and could be found in the CS:GO Weapon Case.

Usually, an AK-47 Case Hardened skin in Factory New condition only costs around $180-$190. A StatTrak™ maxes out at about $350. However, if you happen to somehow have the odds on your side and get an AK-47 with the scar pattern, you’re looking at at least $150,000, if not more.

4

Butterfly Knife Crimson Web

Butterfly Knife Crimson Web

Condition: StatTrak Factory New
Price:
$40,000

The three previous skins have all been 6 digits or more. Finally, we’re toning it down a bit to a still crazy but less expensive $40,000 skin. The Butterfly Knife Crimson Web in Factory New condition costs around $5,200. However, if you ever get your hands on a StatTrak version in Factory New condition, you can get upwards of $40,000 for a single skin.

It’s insane to see how much people are willing to pay for CS:GO skins. But, some treat them as investments that can grow in the future and possibly give them a bigger return.

The Butterfly Knife Crimson Web is from Operation Breakout and was introduced to CS:GO on July 1, 2014. The skin isn’t a part of any collection and can only be found by opening an Operation Breakout Weapon case.

5

M4A4 Howl

M4A4 Howl

Condition: StatTrak Factory New
Price:
$12,300

Of course, we can’t talk about the AK-47 without its Counter-Terrorist counterpart. The M4A4 Howl in Factory New condition can sell for around $5100. It’s currently one of the most expensive M4A4 skins, especially if you’re looking to get the StatTrak™ FN version which has a current asking price of over $12,000.

I personally feel like the M4A4 Howl is one of the better-looking skins on this list. It features a custom-painted image of a snarling wolf with a red and black finish all over the gun. It’s part of the Huntsman Collection, released in 2014.

The skin isn’t actually super rare, but it’s a very popular skin that a lot of players like to use. This is one of the reasons why the value is super high. Even one in a lower condition can easily cost you 4 digits.

Another reason why the value is super high is because the original artist issued a DMCA takedown of the skin. Because of this, the skin was only available for a short amount of time, and only the players who had already received the skin got to keep it.

It’s definitely not the most expensive skin on this list, but it’ll still set you back a couple of thousand dollars if you want it.

6

M9 Bayonet Crimson Web

M9 Bayonet Crimson Web

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$11,500

Next, we have the M9 Bayonet Crimson Web skin. The M9 Bayonet is another knife. It’s intended to be mounted on a rifle but also excels in close-quarters combat. The Crimson Web M9 Bayonet covers the knife in a red base coat with a spider-web pattern and a semi-gloss topcoat.

A Factory New M9 Bayonet Crimson Web knife costs around $5,800. However, there are also some listings that range anywhere from $6,000 all the way up to $7,300. A StatTrak™ version of the knife can cost somewhere between $7,500 to $12,000.

Knives are usually one of the more expensive items within the game. Even Riot Games followed this trend. Valorant knives are worth around double the price of the other available weapon skins. Knives are just a fantastic weapon, even though we barely get to use them.

7

Talon Knife Crimson Web

Talon Knife Crimson Web

Condition: StatTrakFactory New
Price:
$11,500

Next up, we have yet another Crimson Web skin on our list. These Crimson Web skins sure do sell for a lot of money; I hope I had one in my inventory. The Talon Knife Crimson Web skin is almost on par with the M9 Bayonet Crimson Web pricing, both at around $11,500.

A Factory New Talon Knife Crimson Web comes at a more “reasonable” $2,600. But a StatTrak version with the same condition almost goes up to x6 its value, currently priced at around $11,500.

The Talon Knife Crimson Web skin was introduced on August 1, 2018, as part of the A New Horizon update. It can be obtained from either a Danger Zone case or a Horizon case. Karrigan and DeadFox are two pro players who are known to own this skin.

8

AWP Gungnir

AWP Gungnir 8th most expensive csgo skin

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$7,300

The 8th spot on our list belongs to another AWP skin. This time it’s the AWP Gungnir in Factory New condition. AWP skins are generally highly coveted in CS:GO because they are one of the game’s most popular and most bought skins.

The AWP Gungnir features a beautiful blue and ivory body with Odin’s spear painted on its body. It also features various markings and scriptures from Norse mythology, making it a weapon worthy of the Allfather himself. Speaking of Norse mythology, the AWP Gungnir was released on November 18, 2019, as a part of the Norse Collection.

An AWP Gungnir in Factory New condition has a listing price of around $7,300. The cheapest Battle-Scarred condition will still cost you a hefty sum of $3,900. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a StatTrak™ variant. My guess is that a StatTrak™ FN AWP Gungnir would’ve been somewhere close to $15,000.

9

AK-47 Wild Lotus

AK-47 Wild Lotus

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$7,300

Since the AK-47 is one of the most popular weapons in the game, it isn’t surprising that we see another one on this list. Most of the expensive weapons skins are usually AK-47s, AWPs, or knives. These make the most sense since people want them more than other weapons.

The Wild Lotus AK-47 features a green base with a floral and blooming design. The gun is covered in an orange lotus spread throughout the gun’s base. Overall, it has a pretty unique and noticeable design and was part of the St. Marc Collection released in 2019.

The Wild Lotus AK-47 is one of the newer skins on this list, but it still has a nice price tag. It’s a relatively rare skin with an estimated $7,000 value without any stickers. If you were to put some expensive stickers on this AK, you might be able to easily increase its value up to $10,000 or more.

10

Butterfly Knife Lore

Butterfly Knife Lore

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$6,200

A “balisong” is more commonly known as a Butterfly Knife and is one of the most loved knife types in CS:GO. This design is popular among players because of its unique, freely pivoting blade. Inspecting a Butterfly Knife is one of the most satisfying animations in CS:GO making it an easy crowd favorite. This is one of the main reasons why Butterfly Knives can be quite expensive compared to other knives.

The Butterfly Knife Lore skin in Factory New condition will set you back around $6,000. Surprisingly, the StatTrak™ is only a little bit more expensive, available for $6,200. It’s tough to get kills with knives anyway, so it isn’t that important to get a StatTrak™ version.

The Butterfly Knife Lore skin was released on September 21, 2021, as part of the Dreams & Nightmares collection, making it one of the newer ones on the list. It features a beautiful golden blade with a knotted chain-like design. The base has an army green color with some yellow-tinted accents.

11

Souvenir M4A1-S Welcome to the Jungle

M4A1-S Welcome to the Jungle most expensive csgo skin M4A1-S

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$4,900

This next skin is one of the newest ones on the list. It’s definitely surprising to see some of the new skins since, most of the time, the older and rarer skins have higher prices. Although, the M4A1-S Welcome to the Jungle is one of the “cheapest” ones on the list.

The M4A1-S Welcome to the Jungle skin is available for around $1,800 in Factory New condition. However, the Souvenir variant in Factory New condition nearly triples its value, with listings starting at around $4,900.

The skin was released on December 3, 2020, as part of the Operation Broken Fang update. The M4A1-S Welcome to the Jungle skin is part of the Ancient Collection and can only be obtained from the Antwerp 2022 Ancient Souvenir Package and Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package.

12

AK-47 Fire Serpent

AK-47 Fire Serpent 12th most expensive csgo skin

Condition: Factory New
Price:
$4,400

The final entry on our list still costs over $4,000. It’s a hefty sum and certainly isn’t reasonable for most people. Some families live off of $4,000 in a month, while someone out there simply lets it sit in his inventory.

The AK-47 Fire Serpent in Factory New condition is available for around $1,700 in the various CS:GO skins marketplace. On the other hand, the StatTrak version of the skin will set you back around $4,400 at the very least.

It was a part of the Operation Bravo update released on September 19, 2013. The AK-47 Fire Serpent CS:GO weapon skin is part of the Bravo Collection and can be obtained from the Operation Bravo case. FalleN and coldzera are some of the known professional CS:GO players who use the AK-47 Fire Serpent skin.

Conclusion

And that ends our list for the most expensive CS:GO skins. Skin prices regularly fluctuate, but we’ll try our best to keep this list updated. CS:GO skins have their own economy, and no one can control or predict the price.

It’s insane to see how much the different CS:GO skins can sell for. It might be time to check your old Steam account and see if you have any old unopened cases. You never know, you just might unbox a rare item and get some unexpected profit.
