After a lot of waiting and rumors, PlayStation has finally announced the showcase that will feature their third and first-party exclusives for the year to come. We know that Spider-Man 2 is slated for a Fall 2023 release, but other than that the release well is a little dry, but the upcoming showcase is looking to get the water flowing again.

PlayStation Showcase Is Finally here

Officially announced just now on the PlayStation Blog, the showcase has been long rumored and with its announcement fans are finally excited to see what the rest of the year holds for PS VR2 and PS5 owners. While Spider-Man 2 still is the star of the show, we can expect to see a lot of new titles to be shown off and create excitement for the upcoming year, into 2024.

Currently, the only major exclusives that are coming to the PS5 this year are Final Fantasy XVI, and Spider-Man 2, fans are also excited to see if we will hear about the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat reboot, or perhaps finally get a look at gameplay for Spider-Man 2 which has yet to show off any gameplay, aside from the announcement CGI trailer.

Expectations from Sony are high, but with the portfolio and titles they have, fans are undoubtedly excited for things to come to the console.
