Ubisoft Forward just ended a few moments ago and we were shown a first look at the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown gameplay—the latest entry after more than a decade to the now-forgotten Prince of Persia series. While we know the Sands of Time remake is somewhere in the pipeline, The Lost Crown is a 2.5D title with a lot of unique elements with the series time manipulation mechanic also making a comeback.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the latest entry to the Prince of Persia series. The latest game has a mixed reception from fans with many on the fence about the presentation, style, and other aspects of the game. What was shown today gives us a deeper look at the various combat mechanics that the game will offer, including the return of time-bending mechanics.

The game features a brand-new prince, a new story, enemies, and a new setting for players to get comfortable with. While many fans are undoubtedly upset at the various changes the IP has undergone, this is still a game worth giving a try to as it inches closer to release.

The title will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch on January 18th, 2024.
