Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade was released for PS+ earlier this year, and unfortunately, Square Enix stated that this version of the game would not be eligible for a PS5 upgrade, however it seems that the company has now had a change of heart and is now allowing players to upgrade their game.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake PS5 Upgrade will soon be available

According to an official tweet from Square Enix, the PS+ (PS4) version of the game will be upgradable to the PS5 version which was not possible before, and in addition, players can now purchase the Episode Intermission DLC for a 25% discount.

This is a major development for people who wanted to be able to use the PS+ version to get the PS5 version relatively cheaper, but with Square Enix prohibiting the upgrade, many fans were left to play with the PS4 version on their PS5.

It’s good to see that Square Enix has seen a new light to this, and this potentially lets a lot of PS5 users who were waiting to experience the game, allow themselves to enjoy it with a brand new set of paint and some bells and whistles slapped on it.
