With the PS5 entering its third month since its debut, many fans are eagerly waiting for more PS5 exclusive titles to hit the console. With confirmed games like Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and Horizon Forbidden West already confirmed for the console. However, a recent update to Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart Release Date could spell trouble or good news for fans.
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart Release Date Removed – Good News or Bad News?
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart Release Date has been removed from the official games website.
An archived version of the webpage had a previously listed release date of To Be Confirmed. The latest update to the webpage removes this mention.
The above is a comparison image between the two websites in their current states.
While the removal of the release date could mean that the game could soon get a delay announcement, but it is also equally likely that a new release date will be announced at a surprise Sony State of Play.
While it has been a long while since we had a State of Play from Sony, the company has been giving scarce information about first-party games since entering 2021.
We have already seen Returnal get a delay by a month, but will the same fate befall Ratchet and Clank?
Ratchet and Clank is a series favorite IP for Sony. The series has had at least one new entry on every Sony console released since the PS2.
With a slow start to the year, we can start seeing gaming pick up in April and May. With the release of Returnal and Resident Evil Village to kick things off for the new console generation.
While its still difficult for fans to grab their own PS5 or Xbox Series console as of the time of writing this, the shortage of games will also give fans adequate time to grab a console when Sony and Microsoft do put efforts to reducing the shortage as soon as they can.
For now, all we can do is wait and see. If Sony will give us more details on the new titles to come for the PS5 with new release dates.
