Yesterday was a very full day of gaming news, particularly when EA shut down Apex Legends Mobile and ceased development on Battlefield Mobile. Another unfortunate news has made its way out of the wood work in the form of a new report by Jason Schreier who has stated that EA also canceled a Single Player game set in the Apex Legends/Titanfall universe.

The Single Player Apex Legend Game That Could Have Been

In a new report by Jason Schreier, he writes about a canceled Apex Legends game that would have been a single-player title, but as we know by now, Apex and Titanfall share the same universe. While details are still scarce on the title, Jason was able to share the following details on his Bloomberg report. Unfortunately, we do know which studio would have been responsible for the project, and details are already scarce as it is.

The canceled project, code-named TFL or Titanfall Legends, was a single-player game set in the universe shared by the Apex Legends and Titanfall games. It was directed by veteran designer Mohammad Alavi until he left the company in early 2022. Although the game hadn’t been advertised, EA had hinted at it several times.

Quote from Jason Schreier’s article

The title would have been something that fans have been eagerly waiting for, since Titanfall 2. Unfortunately, this seems like the end of the road for the title, and while the future of further endeavors in that universe will remain a mystery, we can only hope that down the road, EA realizes how many fans would love to get a new entry in the Titanfall/Apex Legends world.
