Resident Evil 4 Remake System Requirements Revealed for PC

CAPCOM has finally given us a better look at Resident Evil 4 Remake, and it looks absolutely glorious. Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games of all time and certainly one that paved the way for a plethora of action titles for decades to come. The remake is getting similar treatment to previous entries like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, with modern visuals, improved controls, and new mechanics. With the Steam page up, here are the Resident Evil 4 Remake System Requirements.

To play the game on PC, you need the following specifications.

• Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
• OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)
• Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 / Intel Core i5-7500
• Memory: 8 GB RAM
• Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 560 with 4GB VRAM / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB VRAM
• DirectX: Version 12
• Network: Broadband Internet connection
• Additional Notes: Estimated performance (when set to Prioritize Performance): 1080p/60fps. ・Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes. ・AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 required to support ray tracing.

• Memory: 16 GB RAM
• Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
• DirectX: Version 12
• Network: Broadband Internet connection
• Additional Notes: Estimated performance: 1080p/60fps ・Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes. ・AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 required to support ray tracing.

The title looks excellent, but despite that, the requirements aren’t as high as you’d expect. If you’re looking to play the title at higher settings on 1080p with a 60 FPS target, you need something like a GTX 1070 paired with a Ryzen 5 3600. If you want to enable ray-tracing as well, you’ll need a better GPU, like the RTX 2070.

Of course, if you go above 1080p, you’ll have to upgrade to even better specs, but it’s nice to see CAPCOM steadily increasing requirements rather than any abrupt upgrade compared to the last entry. The storage requirement isn’t listed yet, but you need 16 GB of RAM.
