Today is Pokemon Day and Nintendo took the opportunity to present an eventful presentation to mark the occasion. While many fans were already expecting DLC for the latest version of the Pokemon Games on the Nintendo Switch, Scarlet and Violet, a 4chan leak from a few days ago may have revealed more than just the announcements told today that fans may want to keep an eye on.

A New Nintendo Switch Console Could Be Coming Later This Year

While fans have mixed feelings over today’s announcements for Scarlet and Violet, another news slipped between the cracks. On the 24th of February, a rumor on 4chan almost spelled out all of the announcements made today.

With 4chan being what it is, it was of course met with skepticism and ignored by everyone, but almost all of the announcements in the post, albeit by translation did turn out to be true for the most part, and what really caught our attention was the last part of the post which said:

We are working on a graphics enhancement patch for the new Nintendo Switch models that will be released alongside DLC2.

4chan post

DLC 2 for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be released in Winter 2023, with DLC for Fall 2023. Whether the poster meant us getting a new version of the existing Nintendo Switch console similar to the OLED Nintendo Switch, or if we are finally getting a successor to the console, it would make sense for the console to release during the holiday season.

Keep in mind, this is all just speculation, but considering the details in the post and how it was almost spot-on with a majority of predictions with today’s events, one can’t ignore the signs.
