Sonic Superstars finally has a release date, and it’s coming out in the biggest month of the year, October, alongside tons of heavy hitters like Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This is a return to the classic 2D Sonic platforming we all hold dear, and the visuals are lovely. With the Steam page up, here are the official Sonic Superstars system requirements.
Sonic Superstars System Requirements
|OS||Windows 10 – 64-Bit||Windows 11 – 64-Bit|
|Processor||Intel Core i5-2400, 3.1 GHz or AMD FX-8350, 4.2 GHz||Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600|
|Memory||6 GB RAM||12 GB RAM|
|GPU||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750, 2 GB or AMD Radeon HD 7790, 2 GB||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, 8 GB or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56, 8 GB|
|DirectX||Version 11||Version 11|
The target framerate or resolution hasn’t been listed, but this isn’t a very demanding title based on these requirements. If you’re looking to play the game at higher settings, you’ll need something like a GTX 1070 with 8 GB of VRAM, paired with a Ryzen 5 2600.
If you’re fine with turning down a few things, you can get by on a GTX 750 with 2 GB of VRAM, and an i5-2400. You need 12 GB of RAM, and there is no mention of storage. Overall, not a very demanding game, even though the GTX 1070 isn’t all that bad for smaller titles.
