Spider-Man: Remastered was announced alongside Spider-Man: Miles Morales in 2020, and it was tied to the ultimate edition which got you Remastered and Miles, but the value was only there if you never played Spider-Man on the PS4 in 2018. However, Sony has finally announced that Spider-Man: Remastered will soon be available for purchase separately, and will also have an offer for the $10 upgrade promotion if you own the PS4 version.
Spider-Man: Remastered Can Now Be Bought Separately
In a PlayStation Blog post, Sony has just announced that you will soon be able to buy the title separately. The game will cost $49.99 but if you own any of the PS4 editions digital or physical, you can upgrade to the Remastered edition for only $10.
If you own the disc edition, you will have to keep the disc in the system every time you play the game. Otherwise players who own the game digitally will be able to upgrade for a one-time fee of $10.
PlayStation has also reiterated that Spider-Man 2 is set to release this Fall 2023, so this is still a good sign that the game is still on track.
Fans who have been waiting for a way to access the game will be pleased with this update.
