After a lot of waiting and patience, fans have finally been rewarded with an official teaser trailer for Star Wars Jedi Survivor, the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2019 new IP from Respawn is officially teased by EA and has a 2023 release date to boot.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor Officially Confirmed

It seems that after all this waiting, EA has decided to lift the curtain on Star Wars Jedi Survivor. A sequel to the 2019 new entry to the Star Wars video game line – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Stars Wars Jedi Survivor was first teased by Jeff Grubb a few days ago, and while we lacked official acknowledgement from EA until then, the company has decided to give us a first look at the official teaser trailer for the game that is set to release in 2023.

None of the visuals shown are in-game, so that is worth keeping in mind.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor will continue the journey of Cal Kestis, and will take place after the events of Fallen Order. While we are still not sure what role Cal will play in this entry, we know that it is going to be one heck of a ride.

In an official press release by EA on Business Wire, the game takes place 5 years after the events of Fallen Order. It will also be a next-gen exclusive, and will only release for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

We also got a brief look at the story of the game:

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks up five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal will meet and ally himself with an array of unique and interesting characters on his journey. Jedi: Survivor will expand on the series’ dynamic combat in new and innovative ways. In order to survive, Cal must learn new skills and grow his connection with the Force.

Fallen Order was a new experience for Star Wars fans who were looking for a single player entry into the Star Wars world after the two Battlefront titles took over the Star Wars name. The great gameplay, unique story and other mechanics made it one of the best new IP’s from Respawn in a long time and was a surprise smash hit title in 2019.

While we are eager to hear about the game in detail with (hopefully) an EA Play later this year, what are your thoughts on the sequel? Let us know in the comment section below.
