It seems that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge release date has been leaked via Nintendo eShop. The game has a mystery release date of 2022 but with no proper release date, the Nintendo eShop has given a date that is too specific to be a placeholder and also lines up with an earlier rumor for a Nintendo Direct on the same day.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Release Date Leaked

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a classic remake of the original side-scrolling beat ’em ups that were made famous in the 80’s and 90’s. The game has had a lot of gameplay shown off and is truly a game that fans who grew up with the original series and games will strongly cherish.

While the developers Tribute Games Inc. and publisher Dotemu, Gamera Games have only given us a Summer 2022 release date, it seems that a Nintendo eShop listing on the Korea page for the game may have given a more precise date.

Spotted by @the_marmolade on Twitter, the catch makes it interesting due to a rumor earlier this week that a Nintendo Direct is expected to happen on the 15th of June.

When translated, the game shows a release date of 6.15, 23:59. This could mean that the game will be a shadowdrop during the Nintendo Direct, which the series has been known to do for many games and demos in the past, so it wouldn’t be a surprise.

Considering we are also just entering the Summer of 2022 period, the release date also lines up very conveniently.

The Nintendo eShop page is definitely a strong hint at the legitimacy of the leak, but we still recommend taking either news (Nintendo Direct rumor and the release date) with some salt. However, if you are eager to try the game out, you currently can’t pre-order it on any major online store as there is no way to pre-order the title.
