The Last of Us Part 2 physical copies possibly leaked early in Canada. It is possible that copies of the game are being sold in the region, and while we can’t be sure of the volume, we can be sure this is equally as bad as Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s early street date leak. As a highly anticipated AAA exclusive, every store will try to mint money from this game as early as possible. As such, be extra cautious of spoilers now.

The Last of Us Part 2 physical copies potentially leaked

The Last of Us Part 2 has had a tumultuous month. With video leaks ruining the story of the game, and sparking criticism from the fans over the new direction the series is taking, it seems that the title is getting a lot of heat.

While the excited fans outweigh the disgruntled fans, it is still sad to see that the game is unable to catch a break. The game is still 9 days away from its global launch and it seems that some people have gotten the game early.

According to this reddit post, someone is showing the back of the game, sealed. The game is a Canadian copy of the game because of the ESRB Rating and the french language at the back, but at the bottom, you can see the words Vaughan, a quick Google search reveals its a small city in Ontario, Canada. The person who photographed this has their camera settings to show the location in the photo which is a commonplace feature in smartphones.

This could equally be a display case that someone just photographed but it is also as likely to be the game itself. It isn’t out of left field for major titles like this or Final Fantasy 7 Remake and other popular titles to break street days or in the case of the latter, weeks before launch.

AAA games are generally sold early by small retailers or other retailers to make some extra cash or simply as a mistake. The person behind the counter may be under the assumption that the game is ready for sale when it probably isn’t.

We are still looking for more images to back up this claim, but until then, its best to return to being careful around places you would avoid for spoilers. Places like YouTube comments below gaming videos, especially about the game, Twitter with the hashtag of the game, and for Instagram as well.
