Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is one of our favorite releases of the year, and we had a blast playing through the incredibly dense CRPG. The title is out now on PC and consoles and runs quite well for the most part. While the title does support cloud saves, players have reported syncing issues. You can manually back up your progress by accessing the Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader save file location.

Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader Save File Location

You can find the Rogue Trader save files at the following address on PC.

C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader\Saved Games

Your save files will be in the Saved Games folder, and I recommend that you copy the entire thing if you’re looking to move those around.

Faster Navigation

To quickly navigate to this location, I recommend using Windows Run.

  • Open Windows Run by either pressing the Windows R keys together or by searching for it in Windows Search
  • Enter the following address, and press OK
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/Owlcat Games/Warhammer 40000 Rogue Trader/Saved Games

Even if the cloud saving is a bit buggy right now, I highly recommend that you enable Steam Cloud anyway. The save files aren’t that large, and it’s a reliable way to ensure progress isn’t lost.

We hope this guide was helpful and you were able to access the local saves for Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments below.
