Final Fantasy XVI previews dropped earlier today and this allowed members of the development team to talk to many members of the press and share insight on the game, the gameplay, and more. Todays previews did shed a lot of light on the title, but chief among them is an interview with the official PlayStation Blog in Japan where Yoshida talks about the PC version.

Final Fantasy XVI PC Version Is Still Far Away

It’s worth mentioning that the original source is also done by translation, so it’s worth taking this with some skepticism until we are able to verify the authenticity of the interview.

The original interview can be found here. A few weeks ago, there was talk that Final Fantasy XVI may not be coming to PC at all, However, it seems that the director has now changed their remarks to give a more accurate detail of the statement.

In summary, it’s basically a “it’s ready when its ready situation”. We do not know a release date for the PC version yet and we know that an Xbox version is also off the table, but the PS5 version is set for a June 22nd, 2023 release date.
