Baldur’s Gate 3, currently available as an early access title on PC, has now been officially announced for the PlayStation 5 as well and is coming in August 2023. The announcement also confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will support cross-save progression across all platforms at launch.

Larian Studios have confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will support cross-save progression between PC, PS5, and Mac. This was officially announced on Steam.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will also support cross-save progression between PC, Mac and PS5, allowing you to transfer your saves between platforms and continue your adventure wherever you purchase the game.

Additionally, Baldur’s Gate 3 will also have full controller support at launch and a split-screen option for cooperative play on the same device. The developers have also confirmed support for Steam Deck, so with that in mind, you’ll be able to play the title on the go, with your progress intact on an additional hardware device.

Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5 Release Date

Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to PC, and PS5 on August 31, 2023. Check out the PS5 reveal trailer below, which also introduces one of the antagonists of the upcoming RPG.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available to pre-purchase on PS5 for $70, and the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $80. The title hasn’t been announced for Xbox platforms, but considering Divinity Original Sin 2 eventually made its way to multiple consoles as well as Xbox, there’s a chance this might be as well.
