The big Battlefield reveal is set to take place later today, and while many fans are scratching their heads on what the latest entry in the Battlefield series could be called, a lot of clues point to Battlefield 2042 being the name of the game.
Battlefield 2042 – Only a few years away
Battlefield leaks have been hitting the web consistently and while we have yet to nail down a fixed title, we have a lot of strong evidence to confirm that the new game is indeed Battlefield 2042.
The first piece of evidence is something that is tangible and comes from Reddit. Spotted by user Popygay.
They provide quite good evidence on how the Battlefield 2042 page does give a response as opposed to Battlefield 6 or Battlefield 2021. A similar response is recorded when Battlefield V is used as a prompt.

- October 15 release date
- Multiplayer up to 128 players (may be less on PS4/Xbox One)
- Launch will have 7 maps
- players can customize weapons, gadgets and vehicles in-battle. You can also call a robotic dog, use a grappling hook or wear a wingsuit.”
