Welcome to Bennett's Genshin Impact Build Guide!

Bennett is arguably the most powerful support character in Genshin Impact. In this article, we will tell you how you can build Bennett, including a comprehensive list of his Ascension/Talent upgrade costs/stat buffs/materials and where to obtain them.

Additionally, we will tell you about his best weapons, artifacts, and viable team comps. As is tradition, we will begin with a summary to the character and his kit.

A Summary Of Bennett’s Kit

Bennett, titled “Trial by Fire”, is 4-star Pyro Sword user who hails from Mondstadt and is the leader of “Benny’s Adventure Team”. His kit revolves around his capabilities as a support character but can also be equipped with sub-optimal offensive builds.

Bennett‘s Elemental Burst is the most important part of his kit. A supportive build on Bennett would equip him with the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige set, with his best-in-slot 5-star weapon being the Skyward Blade. Traveler’ can also equip the character with the 4-star equivalent in the form of the Favonius Sword/Sacrificial Sword.

Bennett’s Passive Talents

Talent NameTalent Description
RekindleAscending Bennett past phase one decreases his Elemental Skill, Passion Overload CD by 20%.
FearnaughtWhen Bennett is within the AoE laid out by his own Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage, his Elemental Skill’s CD is decreased by 50%, and the character is no longer launched when using his Skill’s charge level 2.
It Should Be Safe…When Bennett is dispatched on an expedition in Mondstadt, the time consumed is reduced by 25%.

Bennett’s Normal Attack

Benny‘s normal attack is not important to his kit, and can be ignored when building the character as a supportive unit.

Strike Of Fortune

Bennett's Normal Attack
Normal Attack
Bennett's Charged Attack
Charged Attack

Bennet‘s normal attack allows the unit to perform a 5-strike sword sequence. His charged attack consumes stamina to unleash a stronger attack consisting of two sword strikes.

Bennett’s Elemental Skill

Again, this combat ability is not important to Bennett‘s supportive capabilities and is only used when the character needs some extra Energy.

Passion Overload

This ability has two modes of use, press and hold. Pressing Bennett‘s Elemental Skill button unleashed a singular strike infused with Pyro.

Holding this ability for a short amount of time allows Benny to charge up and perform two Pyro strikes that deal moderate DMG. Holding for about a second allows Bennett to discharge 3 consecutive strikes infused with Pyro. However, it launches Benny and the enemy backwards, in opposite directions, although Benny takes no DMG from this mishap.

Bennett’s Elemental Burst

And here we are, folks, Bennett’s most important ability. Do not shy away from upgrading it as much as possible; the cost is well worth the massive increase in DMG output from your teams.

Fantastic Voyage

Bennett's Elemental Burst
Elemental Burst

Bennett leaps a short distance into the air, dealing Pyro DMG and creating an Inspiration Field upon landing.

Benny‘s inspiration field heals your active character if their HP is below or equal to 70% of their maximum. These heals proc continuously till the mentioned condition becomes false. The total HP gained per heal is dependant on Bennett‘s own HP.

However, if your active character has more than 70% HP, they gain an ATK bonus that is based on Bennett‘s Base ATK.

All characters that step foot into this field are imbued with Pyro

A brief note is necessary here.. C0 Bennett is a fantastic unit. Please do not feel forced to roll for a character’s constellations. They are nice to own and can boost a character’s effectiveness, but they aren’t worth spending real-world currency on unless you have a large reserve of expendable income.

However, if you do end up getting more constellations, congratulations! Let us get you familiar with Bennett’s Stella Fortuna.

Bennett‘s constellations aren’t that great, all but his C1 and C5 are practically useless to the character’s kit. We recommend trying to get (but not going out of your way to) him to at least C1.

Bennett’s Constellations

Constellation 1
Benent's C1
Grand Expectation
Fantastic Voyage’s ATK increase no longer has an HP restriction, and gains an additional 20% of Bennett’s Base ATK.
Benent's C3
Impasse Conqueror

When Bennett’s HP falls below 70%, his Energy Recharge is increased by 30%.

Constellations 3
Benent's C3
Unstoppable Fervor

and 5
Benent's C5
True Explorer

Unstoppable Fervor (C3) increases the talent levels of Bennett’s Elemental Skill, Passion Overload, by 3.

True Explorer (C5) increases the talent levels of Bennett’s Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage, by 3.

The maximum upgrade level for both of these abilities is now 15.

Constellation 4
Benent's C4
Unexpected Odyssey

Using a Normal Attack when executing the second attack of Passion Overload’s Charge Level 1 allows an additional attack to be performed.
This additional attack does 135% of the second attack’s DMG.
Constellation 6
Benent's C6
Fire Ventures With Me

Sword, Claymore, or Polearm-wielding characters inside Fantastic Voyage’s radius gain a 15% Pyro DMG Bonus and their weapons are infused with Pyro.

What Are Bennett’s Best Teams?

Bennett can fit into any team composition in Genshin Impact to drive the point home. Provided that team has powerful characters whose DMG primarily scales off the ATK stat. Childe, Zhongli, Eula, Yoimiya, The Wanderer, Raiden Shogun, and Yae Miko are all viable candidates for Benny‘s Adventure Team. This team is not limited to the mentioned characters and has uncountable iterations.

We encourage travellers to come up with their teams and send their clever ideas to us!
