CS2 Premier is here to stay – whether you like it or not. It’s the best way to flex your skills and test your abilities in the CS world. Like all competitive game modes, “most players ponder how to rank up fast in CS2 Premier?” I’ve also asked myself that question hundreds of times, and I’ll help you answer it through these 10 tips.

Remember, these tips are only meant to guide you on your CS2 rank journey and aren’t replacements for your hard work, time, and dedication. Use them as supplemental aids, and you’ll surely reach your desired CS Rating in no time.

1

Warm-Up Before Your Games

At this point, it should go without saying that you should always warm up before playing Premier. Most players choose to play a round of their favorite aim trainer and call it a day. However, warming up isn’t limited to your aim. It also includes getting into a more serious and competitive state of mind.

Playing a few Deathmatch games is the perfect way to prepare for Premier. It activates your aim since it’s filled with flicks and quick adjustments. It also tickles your mind with quick thinking and movement decisions it promotes.

2

Practice All Maps

The jump to CS2 introduced a lot of changes. One is the new pick and ban phase used to choose maps in Premier. It makes the environment feel a lot more competitive and gives a glimpse into what the pros go through. However, it also limits your control over what map you get to play on.

There’s no way to counter map choices since you can only influence it through a handful of bans. Even then, your bans might get outvoted. So, I highly recommend being prepared and familiarizing yourself with all CS2 maps. It guarantees that you’ll always have a fighting chance, regardless of the map you end up playing on.

Choose Your Battles Wisely

This next tip goes hand-in-hand with the previous one. You can use statistics to choose maps your enemies don’t typically play on. The spider web graph displayed during the pick and ban phase represents your team’s win rate vs the enemy team’s win rate. You can use this to strategically ban maps your enemies are more familiar with.

The red portion represents the enemy team’s win rate on each map. The closer it is to the map, the higher their overall win rate when playing on it. Meanwhile, the greyed-out portion is your team’s win rate and reads the same way. You can combine this information to land a favorable map pick, leading to easier wins and ranking up fast in CS2 Premier.

Play With Friends

The hardest part about playing CS2 is getting on the same page as your team. Well, queueing up with a couple of friends solves this problem. It makes communicating, developing strategies, and managing your team’s economy easier. You can even go the extra mile and hop into a Discord Server for a more flawless exchange of information.

The sweet spot is to queue in groups of threes or fours. This ensures that you’ll know most of the team while not running into the insane 5-stack pre-mades. Playing with friends helps you win more games and makes long climbing sessions more enjoyable.

5

Practice Grenade Lineups

Once you’ve become accustomed to the different CS2 maps, the next logical step is to find grenade lineups. Gone are the days when rushing sites and out aiming everyone in sight could win you games. Having a lineup or two up your sleeve significantly improves your chances of winning.

The most important ones to learn are the different smoke spots on each map. Being able to eliminate an angle gives you the upper hand when attacking. Most teams you’ll encounter in Premier won’t know how to counter smoke lineups, which can result in effortless wins, aka more CS Rating.

6

No Aim, No Game

While CS2 is a complex game created by a combination of mechanics, at the end of the day, you can’t win games if you have bad aim. So, how fast you rank up in CS2 Premier will always be limited by your aiming prowess.

Finding the right sensitivity and honing your aim might seem like minor issues now, but they will reward you with wins in the long run. Playing Deathmatch, downloading aim trainers, and using aim training maps are just a few things you can do to improve your aim.

7

Team-Up With New Players

This tip is a bit different from simply queueing up with friends. It’s a bit more advanced technique that takes advantage of the CS2 Premier ranking system. The system grants you insane rating gains when queueing with low-ranked or unranked players. I’ve personally tested this in my matches, receiving up to +900 CS Rating by winning one game.

Of course, these wins are harder to earn than usual since you’re playing with a newbie. However, winning at least one in every five games still nets you a solid 300 to 400 CS Rating, as long as your losses are in the low hundreds.

8

Streaks Matter

Players will see a +200 gain with a -100 loss in most matches. This usually only varies in small increments. However, you’ll start to notice more drastic values during win or loss streaks. It also gets carried over to the next gaming session as long as your streak remains unbroken.

Streaks of four or more losses will result in around -500/+100 CS Rating, while the opposite happens for win streaks. The main takeaway here is to never force games. If you’re already tired and you’re on a streak, just call it a day. Your main goal is to prolong win streaks as much as you can to earn the most CS Rating.

9

Manage Your Economy

Most low-rank CS2 players tend to forget about the game’s basic mechanics. Things like using utility, proper weapon usage, and economy management. Syncing your team’s economy can allow you to gain an advantage by always being on the same level of firepower for every round.

Knowing how to properly manage your economy might seem small, but it can win you rounds, especially when your enemy’s economy is in shambles. Say whatever you want about the run and gun meta; stronger rifles will still outpower SMGs and shotguns, and proper cash handling will help you buy those rifles.

10

Don’t Underestimate Enemies with a Low CS Rating

The last tip to rank up fast in CS2 Premier is to never underestimate your opponents. One thing I’ve learned after years of playing Counter-Strike is that a player’s rank doesn’t always tell you the full story. You can easily encounter smurfs, returning veterans, or simply players having a good day.

Being overconfident and dry-peeking or pushing aggressively can easily lead to thrown rounds. These losses can quickly stack; before you know it, you’ve already lost the game. Just play the usual and smart way and secure rounds.

Wrapping Things Up

I’ve used and experienced these tips to rapidly climb the CS2 Premier ranks. Hopefully, I’ve shared enough to help you win those games. Our journey is far from over, and we’ve all got a lot of CS Rating left to earn.
